Lee Bonds was born in Donaldson, Arkansas a very small farming community. Lee's father moved the family to California when Lee
was three years old, and farmed for most of Lee's years at home.
Lee graduated high school in Modesto, California and joined the U.S. Navy, serving overseas on three cruises and after his discharge came back to Modesto. Lee drove a truck for several years before. moving back to Arkansas and operating heavy equipment for the next few years.
Lee had always had an interest in writing, but had not pursued it for the first few years of his adult life. Like many, he was preoccupied by lifes many challenges and distractions. After having read several books about the Old West he rekindled his interest in writing. After he started writing, he decided that writing is what he should have been doing all the time. Lacking formal training, Lee began reading all he could about writing and trying to learn more to improve his writing skills.
Lee has a good start on his second book and is also working on a new book that is a western, but a different story line as his first two books.
Lee is married and has three children and six grandchildren. He hopes that with Gods help him can become a successful writer.
